Betty Heckman

Mrs. Betty Heckman, age 82, of Sun City West, AZ, died Sunday, August 5, 2012, at the home of her sister in Sun City West, AZ. Betty was born in Energy Ill to Grady and Madge McAlpin Flener. She was the youngest of 6 children. She married Audrey Snyder and to this union were born 2 sons, Gregory Snyder of Huntington Beach Cal. and Bradley and wife Mary Lee Snyder of Kalona Hawaii. She was also blessed with 4 grandchildren; Erik and wife Cheyla Snyder , Drew Snyder of Huntington Beach Cal. and Carley and Dillon Snyder of Kalona Hawaii. Other survivors include 2 sister; Mrs. Gladys Olivia and husband Bob Oman, Sun City West, AZ and Virginia Leach of Energy Ill., 2 nephews Dr Phil Boren of Carmi and Bill McCarty of Steelville Il, and 1 niece Phyllis Kerr of Cut- N- Shoot TX. She was preceded in death by her parents , husband , 2 brothers Edgar Flener and Allen Flener and 1 sister Juanita McCarty Arrangements are being handled by Van Natta Funeral Home, 427 South Park, Herrin, IL where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, August 9, 2012. Funeral service will be at Maplewood Cemetery at 1:00 PM, Friday, August 10, 2012, Rev. John Adams officiating. Interment will be at Maplewood Cemetery, Marion, IL
