Robert R. Ferketich

Mr. Robert R. Ferketich, age 75, of Carterville, IL, died Saturday, May 17, 2008, at Carbondale Memorial Hospital in Carbondale, IL. He was born Dec. 11,1932 in Zeigler to Mike and Stella (Lazar) Ferketich they preceded him in death. He was a member of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, he was in army during the Korean Conflict. He was employed at SIU as a associate professor of the Engineering Dept. for over 30 years. He taught Manufacturing engineering. He was certified manufacturing Engineer from California. Worked 2 years at McDonnell Douglas in St Louis Mo., 4 years at Olins.He loved to be outdoors fishing or farming. He loved his Lord and loved to be with his grandchildren He is survived by his wife; Charlotte (Hogg) Ferketich. also 2 childern Janet and Sammy Rowell Meadowview VA. and Greg and Jamie Ferketich Carterville. 8 gr ch. Christopher Rowell,Kacie Rowell,Nicholas and wife Brittany Rowell, Anne Rowell, Jesse Ferketich, Kodie Ferketich, Dylan Ferketich, Cheyenne Ferketich, 1 gr. gr ch Arianna Rowell. funeral mass will be at 11:00am Tuesday at OLMC Church Visitation will be from 10:00am untill time of the funeral at the church.
