Evelyn Foster

Mrs. Evelyn Foster passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Helia Healthcare in Energy, IL. at the age of 95. Evelyn was born on Jan. 5, 1919 to Bailum and Massie Goins Walker. She married John Foster on Jan. 1, 1999. He proceeded her in death. Evelyn worked until her retirement at Stewart-Warner Productions in Chicago, IL. Evelyn was a feisty, fun loving person. She loved people and lived life to the fullest. Her senior yearbook read "She believes in everything she says." That was Evelyn. Evelyn is survived by he nieces and nephews; Jane Ann Starks Tow of Herrin, IL, Adeline Walker of Herrin, IL, Barbara and husband Mike Lawson of Chicago, IL, Bill Costello of Chicago, IL, Nick Oliz of Chicago, IL, Gordon Walker and wife Sylvia of Carterville, IL, Jerry and wife Joyce Walker of Chicago, IL; Great niece and nephew Jamie Tow of Cambria, IL, and Ryan Tow of Carterville, IL; Brothers-in-law, Alex Oliz of Arkansas, and Chuck Costello of Chicago, IL. Evelyn was proceeded in death by her parents, two husbands, three sisters and three brothers. Arrangements are being handled by Van Natta Funeral Home, 427 South Park, Herrin, IL where a memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2014, at 11:00 AM. Rev. Don Colson will be officiating. Memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
