David McGee

David McGee, , age 39, of Herrin, IL, died Thursday, December 4, 2008 at his home in Herrin. David was born in Herrin August 18, 1969 to Tom and Karen McGee of Herrin Ill.His parents survive. Also surviving are his fiancee Shelia Capps of Herrin, aunts and uncles Marilyn and Mark Ingram of Waterloo Ill., Carol and Mike Grant of Johnston City Ill., Alan Gulley Carterville Ill., Ed Gulley of Herrin Ill., and Greg Overturf of Herrin. His best friend is Clint Norman of Herrin Ill. He also has several cousins that survive. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Fat and Wilda McGee, and Tom and Helen Gulley, aunts Sherry Overturf and Diane Tripoli, uncles Thomas Gulley and Michael Gulley. David worked for the City of Herrin in the public works department. He graduated from Herrin High School class of 1988. He was a member of Laborers Local 773. He loved to hunt and fish. He also attended church at the 1st Baptist Church in Energy Ill. Memorials can be made to Shiloh Cemetery. Envelopes will be provided by the funeral home. Visitation will be Monday December 8, 2008 at 6:00pm to 9:00pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Tuesday December 9, 2008 at 11:00am. Rev.Don Colson will officiate. Arrangements are being handled by Van Natta Funeral Home, 427 South Park, Herrin, IL Interment will be at Shiloh Christian Church/Cemetery,south of Marion, IL.
