Darron Eugene Schoolcraft 54 of Carbondale, Ill. died on Thursday, April 16th, 2015 at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale, Ill. Darron was married to Jeanette (Hawk) Schoolcraft and she survives of Carbondale. He was born February the 18th, 1961 in Memorial Hospital Carbondale Ill. to Art and Juanita (Prather) Schoolcraft. Darron was the owner of A-1 Lock & Safe in Herrin and Carbondale Ill. He graduated from Carbondale High school and was an avid race car fan. He also raced modified midgets in Marion. Darron is survived by his mother Juanita Schoolcraft of Carbondale, 1 Daughter Ashley Schoolcraft of Carbondale Ill., and one brother Art Lee Jr. Schoolcraft and wife Mindy of Downers Grove. 2 Step Children Kristina Owen of Carterville and Frank William Owen of Du Quoin Ill. 2 Step Grand children Ivy Hagler, and Roland Hagler of Carterville Ill. The family would like to give special thanks to Rick Raney Darron’s best Friend and family friend Holly Hendricks. Darron was proceeded in death by his father Art Schoolcraft. Darron leaves 1 nephew Tyler Schoolcraft and 2 nieces Chloe Schoolcraft, and Sydney Schoolcraft. Darron leaves many aunts and cousins that were close to him. The family will receive friends from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. on Monday, April 20th, 2015 at Van Natta Funeral Home in Herrin Ill. Funeral service will be at 1 P.M. on Tuesday at Van Natta Funeral Home in Herrin Ill.
