James H. Eldridge

Mr. James (Dirty) Eldridge, age 74, of Herrin, IL, died Saturday, September 5, 2009 at his home in Herrin Ill. Mr. Eldridge was married to Gertrude McVey Eldridge she pass away on December 27, 2002. He was retired for Zeigler #4 Coal Company. Mr. Eldridge was an avid hunter and was a member of Hurricane Memorial Baptist Church in Herrin and served in the Korean War. He was born in Herrin March 14, 1935 to Oren and Thelma(Stevens)Eldridge. Surviving is 1 son Jim Jr. and Dana Eldridge of Herrin, 2 daughters, Karla and William Little of Herrin and Joney Toth of Herrin. He is also survived by 7 Gr. Ch. and 15 Great gr ch and his loving dog Brick. Services will be Friday at 1:00pm in the Herrin City Cemetery with Rev. Don Colson Officiating. Memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois Inc. Military rites will be preformed by American Legion and V.F.W. Post of Herrin Ill.
