BENTON -- Ronald Lee Saliba, 56, died Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, in Franklin County Hospital in Benton. Saliba was employed by TCT Television. He was born Aug. 29, 1953, in Waukegan, the son of the late Mike Saliba and Dorothy (Staton) Saliba. He married Lindy Thorsen in 1979, and she survives. He is also survived by his mother, Dorothy Saliba of Zeigler; three daughters, Sara Saliba of Benton, Stacy Saliba of Benton, Diana Kerr of Washington state; two sons, Adam Saliba, Bonney Lake, Wash., Scott Thorsen of Wisconsin; three sisters, Jamia Saliba of Zeigler, Judith Ann Gugerty of Ohio, Ill., Jo Ellen Patterson of Pekin; two brothers, Michael Saliba of Peoria, Samuel Paul Saliba of Princeton; one special grandchild, Emalie Saliba of Benton; and seven other grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and one daughter, Melissa. Arrangements are being handled by Van Natta Funeral Home, 427 S. Park, in Herrin, where the family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 30, 2010. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Van Natta Funeral Home, with the Rev. Donnie Colson. Interment will be in Herrin City Cemetery.
