Billie Granneman

Mrs. Billie R. Granneman  of Herrin, Illinois died on Monday, December 11, 2017 at  the Shawnee Christian Nursing Home. She was born in Christopher to George and Lois (Willi) Strunck. She was married to Clifford T. Downen and he died during WWII, she then married L.K. Granneman he too preceded her in death. Surviving are one son, Cliff Downen of Goreville, IL and 1 stepson, Ronald Granneman of New Zealand. She has 3 nieces, Jan Forbes of Carterville, Jan and husband Glenn Mueller of St. Louis and Linda Miles of Christopher. Also she has 1 granddaughter Jenna Jamieson of Carbondale. She also has 4 nephews, Larry Steinberg of Indianapolis, Allen Steinberg of Sarasota FL., Ray Carter of San Antonio TX, Jim Walker of Kansas City KS and special friend Joann Jamieson of Carbondale. Billie was owner of Rexalls Drug Store in Herrin for many years.A Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday at Van Natta Funeral Home located at 427 South Park Avenue  Herrin, Illinois 62948 with the Mr. Glenn Sanders officiating.
