Sharon Lynn (Flota) Jordan, 73, of Clarksville, Tennessee, formerly of Christopher, peacefully passed away at 1:58 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2019, at her home in Clarksville, surrounded by her loving family. Sharon was born March 14, 1946, in Herrin. She was the daughter of Therman Flota and Hester (Wade) Flota. Sharon did bookkeeping and tax services, worked as an EMT for the Franklin County EMS and as a teacher's aide for the Clarksville, Tennessee Public School District. Sharon enjoyed baking and crafting. Sharon was married to Robert Jordan. They shared 18 years of laughter, fishing, playing the Lotto and scratch-offs and going to River Boats. Survivors include three children, daughter, Lisa (Kenny) Osborn of Benton; two sons, Brian (Lisa) Claxton of Scheller, and Matthew (Katrina) Claxton of Christopher; five grandchildren, Mindy Doty, Megan Kay and fiancé, Jordan Spetter, all of Benton, Brian (Amber) Vreeland of Mascoutah, Rhiannon (Sam) Bridges of New Caney, Texas, Molly Claxton of Phoenix, Arizona, Keith Curry of Christopher, and Jamie Mason of Sesser; 10 great-grandchildren, Tony Tillman of Dover AFB Delaware, Isaiah, Brylon and Trenton Doty, Landen Brewner, and Leland and Leighton Kay, all of Benton, Felicity and Delilah Bridges of New Caney, Texas, Jaylee Vreeland of Mascoutah and Austin Spohn of Sesser; one brother, George R. Flota of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; two nephews, Jeff and John Flota of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, and sister-in-law and dear friend, Marylin Armstrong of Cadiz, Kentucky. Survivors also include several nieces and nephews; and many special friends and neighbors from Clarksville, Tennessee. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; and late husband, Tom Claxton. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, at Van Natta Funeral Home in Herrin. Services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Rod Joplin officiating.
